[2026 Digital Innovation Award] WAVUS

As the era of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) goes into full swing, the importance of integrated platform technologies to support it is growing. Amidst this trend, 'GeOnAirX', a 3D digital twin-based UAM traffic management platform introduced by WAVUS (Co-CEOs Kim Hak-sung and Park Chang-hoon), is drawing significant attention.
GeOnAirX implements real-world terrain and buildings in high-precision 3D. Based on this, it provides comprehensive support ranging from vertiport location analysis and flight path design to real-time track management. In particular, it features the provision of a safe and efficient flight environment through data-driven analysis and simulations that reflect meteorological factors.
Furthermore, it derives optimal locations by integrating various spatial and administrative data, and enhances flight efficiency through an automated flight corridor design function utilizing algorithms. It also demonstrates strong capabilities in securing safety by being equipped with warnings and alternative path guidance functions for emergency situations.
It is especially significant in that it serves as the foundational data structure for the implementation of Physical AI.
WAVUS is currently carrying out related projects with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), Korea Airports Corporation, and Korean Air, advancing its technological demonstrations and enhancements.
