WAVUS, a leading company specializing in geospatial information AI platforms, announced on September 7, 2026, that its UAM (Urban Air Mobility) integrated operations platform, ‘GeOnAirX v1.0,’ has received GS (Good Software) Grade 1 Certification. Building on its proven technological capabilities demonstrated through numerous projects and field validations, WAVUS plans to expand its business in earnest across the broader future air mobility sector, extending beyond drones and UAM into the field of navigation safety facilities.
The ‘GeOnAirX’ platform, which received GS Grade 1 Certification, integrates and manages various types of data generated during actual UAM operations—including flight operations data, vertiport facility information, and passenger and resource information—based on geospatial information. In particular, it utilizes GIS (Geographic Information System) and digital twin technologies to visualize vertiports and surrounding areas in 3D, enabling operators to intuitively understand on-site conditions. Through this certification, WAVUS has successfully commercialized its UAM operational technologies accumulated through research and field validation, while officially gaining recognition for the software’s quality and product competitiveness.

This achievement is built on WAVUS’s technological expertise accumulated over many years in geospatial data collection and platform visualization. Since its establishment in 2004, WAVUS has successfully operated large-scale systems, including the national geospatial information platform (K-Geo), and has naturally extended this expertise into the drone and UAM sectors, where multiple moving objects and operational data must be managed in real time. In particular, WAVUS is developing an integrated drone monitoring and control platform that manages the entire process—from detection and threat assessment to alerts and response—in an integrated manner. Based on this technology, the company plans to further strengthen its capabilities in integrated monitoring and control while establishing differentiated competitiveness by combining geospatial information with control technologies.
Building on its UAM platform capabilities demonstrated through GS certification and its achievements in integrated drone monitoring and control, WAVUS is newly entering the navigation safety facilities sector, which supports the safe operation of aircraft at airports. The company plans to significantly expand its technology portfolio into aviation infrastructure by pursuing new business areas including airport radar systems (PSR/SSR), Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), and aviation information and communication systems.

In particular, WAVUS’s differentiated business strategy lies in establishing an integrated monitoring environment that goes beyond managing individual equipment to connect and integrate diverse on-site data, including servers, networks, CCTV, and environmental information. Rather than simply adding a new business area, this forward-looking strategy aims to organically connect aviation infrastructure, low-altitude drones, and future UAM through a data-centric approach, leveraging WAVUS’s existing geospatial information platform and monitoring and control technologies.
